Our managers and staff include top professionals who live and love all aspects of landscaping. We have an average tenure of 15 years, which is something we’re extremely proud of. David Burr

President and Founder David Burr has always had an unwavering commitment to providing a full spectrum of quality landscape management services that consistently exceed his clients’ expectations.
He began his work in the landscaping industry at a local garden center while attending The Stockbridge School of Agriculture. As his passion for the “green industry” continued to grow, he later attended the University of Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design/Landscape Architecture.

Tyler Burr
Vice President

Tyler graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2012 at which point he began his career at DWBURR. His focus is broad but is primarily within the Design Build division where he prides himself in creating unique outdoor living spaces incorporating the latest trends and technology the industry has to offer. He is certified by ICPI, SRW, and NCMA. He is married with three young children and has a passion for all things outdoors.

William Edwards

William C Edwards Jr. is the General Manager at DW Burr Landscape & Design, Inc. Bill has been with the company for over 36 years. While working on the day to day operations, Bill also helps with sales and coordination of landscape install jobs. Building lasting relationships with clients, coworkers and producing high quality work is of the highest importance.

Jake Reynolds is the Director of Operations for the Property Maintenance Division at D.W. Burr.
He is a graduate from the University of Connecticut with extensive knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, golf course design, turf management, soil science and fertilization.Jake strives to create an unmatched company culture within D.W. Burr by maintaining the highest standards of property maintenance in New England, while simultaneously implementing the industry’s newest technologies into the business.

With a deep-rooted passion for landscaping, my journey in the industry began in 2009 when I
founded SNM Lawncare & Landscaping in Granby, CT. Over the years, I built a business that
handled everything from lawn maintenance to complete design-build projects and large-scale
landscape construction—both residential and commercial. My focus has always been on
creating strong relationships with customers, ensuring each project was completed with care,
quality, and attention to detail.In December 2022, I decided to explore new opportunities in commercial construction, leading
me to my current role as Director of Commercial Landscape Installation at D.W. Burr Landscape
& Design Inc. I take pride in leading my team with a strong work ethic and a personable
approach, making both team members and clients feel comfortable and understood throughout
every stage of a project.Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking with my German Shorthaired Pointer, Chance, or enjoying
the outdoors on my mountain bike, ATV, spending time with family and friends or working
around the neighboring farm at my home in Granby—one that I hope to own someday.

Joe Anderson

My name is Joseph Anderson, and I am the Director of Turfgrass Management at DW Burr
Landscaping and Design. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Plant and Soil
Science with a concentration in Turfgrass Management from the University of Connecticut.During my time at UConn, I served as President and Secretary of the UConn Turf Club, where I
played an active role in fundraising efforts to support our participation in the National Turfbowl
Exam, an annual competition among universities and institutions.Upon graduating, I accepted a position at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, as a
Senior Assistant Superintendent, working under one of the most respected Golf Course
Superintendents in the industry. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing daily course
maintenance, managing up to 40 employees during peak season, and implementing Integrated
Pest Management (IPM) strategies, plant health protectant rotations, and soil fertility
modifications to optimize turfgrass growth.With over a decade of experience in the golf industry, I have had the opportunity to work at
several world-renowned golf courses, including Merion Golf Club, TPC Sawgrass Players
Course, and The Apawamis Club, as well as prestigious private clubs such as The Club at
Cordillera in Colorado and The Country Club of Waterbury. Additionally, I have volunteered at
multiple PGA Tour tournaments, assisting with data collection of ball speed, firmness, and soil
moisture at more than five venues, and had the honor of hosting the 2022 Curtis Cup at Merion
Golf Club’s East Course.Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about the outdoors. In my free time, I enjoy
listening to alternative music, fishing, hiking, grilling, and spending time with family and friends.

Cindy Lockhart

Cindy Lockhart, Office Manager at D.W. Burr Landscape & Design, Inc. for the last 25 years. She works directly with President, David Burr with current issues and concerns.
She handles and is responsible for the Company’s accounting, payroll, purchasing and other day to day operations for the Landscape, Maintenance and Irrigation Divisions.

Meredith Gonzales

Meredith Gonzalez is the Office Manager for the Irrigation Services at D.W. Burr. Although she is fairly new to this multifaceted industry, she understands the importance of working as a team and providing good customer service to new and existing customers. She is responsible for planning the Irrigation crew’s day to day operations, attending customer’s service requests and making sure the Director and licensed technicians are up to date with their education/training.

Kristin Lilley

Kristin is the Office Manager for the Property Maintenance Division at D.W. Burr. Although new to the landscaping industry, she brings nearly 20 years of experience in professional administration and office management to the table and is excited to contribute her talents to the D.W. Burr family. Working alongside the Division Director, Kristin is responsible for managing all day-to-day aspects of Property Maintenance operations including scheduling, invoicing, and document preparation. She communicates directly with Property Managers and residents about Work Orders and other requests and issues, and actively assists the Director with procuring new business leads. Kristin is also responsible for our company newsletter and events.

Alejandro Hernandez

Alejandro is the Irrigation Service Manager for the Irrigation Department at D.W. Burr. He is a Licensed Technician and (#0288405 J4) and certified in OSHA. He is responsible for the seasonal maintenance, service, and repairs for both commercial and residential properties.
